She worked in banking for many years and also worked at Roskin Jewelers before becoming a full time realtor 23 years ago. Barb and Tony raised their two children here and both have always been huge supporters of the Grant County community. Barb was a long-time board member of the Hostess House until taking time off to work on her real estate business. She has been, and still is, on the Grant County Chamber of Commerce as an Ambassador for many years, welcoming new members to our community, as well as many other duties to champion our community. Barb and her family love this community and the Walkway of Lights specifically. That is why when Steve Wright asked her to join the Board, it was a perfect fit! She is looking forward to helping the Walkway of Lights continue to grow and be successful because our wonderful Grant County deserves the Walkway of Lights to continue for many years!

Pamela Schlechty

Board Member

Although Pamela Schlechty previously worked with the Gift Shoppe committee, this is her 5th year on the Walkway of Lights Board. Her primary responsibility is to help organize the Walkway of Lights' new & exciting Downtown Event. The revitalization of downtown Marion has been one of her passions, but she also loves the Walkway of Lights, the Riverwalk, Matter Park, and its new gardens - making this a perfect role for her. She believes we should never lose the enchantment of living by trying to see Christmas through a childlike wonder. The Ice Castle is her favorite display, but her love of adventure makes the Riverboat a close second.

A family tradition has been driving through the Walkway of Lights the night of the Christmas Parade and singing the"12 Days of Christmas" upon reaching the display. Her three favorite displays are, The 12 Days of Christmas, the Candy Canes and the beautiful Nativity. She is honored to participate and serve in something that brings our community so much joy.

Stacey Konazeski

Board Member

This is Stacey's 6th year with the Walkway of Lights. She is responsible for helping with the parade and keeping the Walkway of Lights Facebook page up to date. Her favorite display is the Nativity because Jesus truly is the reason for the season. One lesson her mother taught her is to always be kind; you never know what a person might be going through. Your kindness could make all the difference in their day. Every Christmas, Stacey looks forward to the tradition of putting up her family Christmas tree with her daughters, Emma and Avery, and watching Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.

Steve Wright

Board Member

Steve was on the original board when the Walkway was formed, and served from 1993 - 2013. He decided to come back to Marion in 2019 where his family and friends live. Once again, Steve is back on the board working like he was before. Steve stated: "The Walkway is an important part of Marion. It is the only festival that lasts 6 weeks. Many people come to Marion to see the display, and we need to make it bigger and better every year! That is what we are going to do this year, and I want to be a part of it!"
